The Dick Powell Show

"The Dick Powell Show" was a television anthology series that ran from 1961 - 1963. It was hosted by longtime film star Dick Powell until his death from cancer, then by a series of guest hosts till the end of the series.  The introductions he had already filmed for future shows were removed at his family's request, anda series of guest stars taped those introductions, Milton Berle, John Wayne & Ronald Reagan to name a few.

The series was an anthology of various dramas, comedies and so on. It featured many future stars, producers and directors early in their careers, including Aaron Spelling, William Friedkin, and Bruce Geller. Blake Edwards wrote and directed a number of episodes including two featuring Robert Vaughan as an Ivy League private eye known as The Boston Terrier.
